Slow-Cooker Spiced Apple Cider Punch

There’s something so welcoming about a hot alcoholic tipple. Not only does it taste terrific, it perfumes your home with the aroma of Christmas too!

Made in our 3.5 Litre Slow Cooker



  • 850ml unsweetened apple juice
  • 500ml cider
  • 100ml Calvados or brandy (optional)
  • 1 small orange, sliced
  • 1 small lemon, sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 tbsp clear honey

To serve

  • Orange slices and cinnamon sticks, optional


  1. Check the manufacturer’s instructions on your slow cooker, preheating it if necessary.
  2. Place all of the ingredients into the slow cooker, cover and cook on High for 1½-2 hours or 2½-3 hours on Low.
  3. Ladle into heatproof glasses and serve with orange slices and cinnamon sticks, if using.

For a non-alcoholic version just use apple juice, increasing the quantity to 1.5 litres, and add a couple of spiced apple tea bags about 10 minutes before serving. Sugar sticks for stirring are a nice idea too.
