Blackcurrant Puree

  • Small amount of butter
  • 200g blackcurrants
  • 1 apple, peeled & diced
  • 250g blackcurrants (fresh or frozen)
  • 200g strawberries
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 100ml water


  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the peaches and apple. Stir over the heat for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the water and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until the fruits are soft and all of the water has evaporated.
  3. Add the blackcurrants and strawberries and stir for one minute. Add the banana, then blend to the desired consistency.
